Livelihood improvement

Under the livelihood improvement, the department is working to improve the overall livelihood of the target community in a holistic approach, as identified during situational analysis the respective target community.

Livelihood improvement projects evolved as a strategic direction and result of relief to development continuum approach of EOC-DICAC. The commission through the department in currently implementing 4 rural livelihood improvements projects (RLIP),  (table 1). Depending on the local condition, the activities in the livelihood improvement projects include agriculture, natural resources management, water supply and sanitation, social service, income generation and capacity building.
