In order to build resilience, access to essential services and move toward sustainable dignified livelihoods, our commission is providing, education, health, protection service and livelihood opportunities for refugees.

EOTC DICAC Strengthens Early Childhood Development Protection Services in Addis Ababa

The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church Development and Inter-Church Aid Commission-Refugees and Returnees Affair Department (EOTC-DICAC/RRAD), with support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, has strengthened protection services on Early Childhood Development (ECD) in Yeka Abado Woreda 14, Lemi Kura Subcity of Addis Ababa.

Strengthens Efforts to End FGM and Child Marriage in Amhara Region

A joint field monitoring visit was conducted in Angolola and Tera Woreda (Kotu Kebele), Baqelo Primary School, and Debre Birhan IDP Camp (China Camp).
As part of the national initiative the monitoring visit focuses on ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage.

The Ethiopian Orthodox Church Development and Inter-Church Aid Commission (EOC-DICAC) has officially launched its Integrated Response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Protection Project in Enjibara town, Awi Zone, Amhara Region.
The project comes at a critical time when communities in the region are facing high rates of gender-based violence, limited access to protection services, internal displacement, and weak child protection systems. These challenges, compounded by resource constraints, have heightened the vulnerability of women, girls, and other at-risk groups affected by crises and conflict.

Projecct Launching

A one-year initiative “Integrated Response to GBV/Protection”, targeting the woredas of Minjar Shenkora Woreda and Moretina Jiru in the North Shoa Zone launched in Adama, Ethiopia.
The project aims to ensure the safety, dignity and rights of all persons affected by crisis, with particular attention to the most vulnerable, by preventing and responding to gender base violence. The project is designed to benefit a target population of 8,594 individuals, with 499,999.98 USD budget funded by the UNOCHA through Ethiopian Humanitarian Fund
