The Biftu Mulata, is a marketing group found at Mudi watershed organized by Jarso DryDev in May 2016 this watershed has got members of 33 neighbor women; after they got a capacity building training in marketing, financial management and business management. In collaboration with the woreda micro and small enterprise promotion office; the group developed a business plan for shoat rearing and marketing to the nearby town called Kombolcha (47 km from their watershed) and Ejersa Goro (28 Km from their watershed). The regional micro-finance institute (WALQO) avail loan of Birr 50,000.00 (fifty thousand) in addition to their saving ETB 10,000 (ten thousand). The group currently is collecting shoat from their watershed and resell at Kombolcha and Ejersa Goro for fixed whole sellers per week period of time. Since the commencement of this business in from May 2017 they supply from 17-75 shoat per week at the mentioned town; and got profit of Birr 17, 200.00 from this they returned back the loan partially amounted Birr 6500.00 to Oromia saving and credit (WALQO). This is their additional income next to their on-farm activity. Hence, DryDev and other stakeholders expect more in the coming season after they travel more months in the business.
