Emergency Food and Non-Food Item Distribution for Drought-Affected Communities in North Wollo
Bugna Woreda, Amhara Region – The Ethiopian Orthodox Church Development and Inter-Church Aid Commission (EOC-DICAC), in collaboration with Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), has announced a new round of emergency food and non-food item distribution to drought-affected communities in North Wollo’s Bugna Woreda.
This initiative is part of the ongoing humanitarian response to address the urgent needs of vulnerable households impacted by prolonged drought. The support will include staple food items, as well as essential non-food supplies aimed at restoring dignity and improving the living conditions of the affected population.
The action also extends to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in North Shewa, including Debre Berhan, where communities continue to face the compounded effects of displacement and resource scarcity.
EOC-DICAC and Cordaid have previously carried out similar distributions in Bugna Woreda, demonstrating their sustained commitment to providing life-saving assistance and helping communities recover from the crisis.
By continuing this partnership and maintaining a focus on the most vulnerable, EOTC DICAC reaffirm its dedication to humanitarian principles and to standing alongside affected Ethiopians in times of greatest need.
