Through three integrated initiatives: the Early Childhood Development Project, the TESFA Project, and the Megnote Project EOTC DICAC, supporting refuge families living in urban area.
In order to build resilience, access to essential services and move toward sustainable dignified livelihoods, our commission is providing, education, health, protection service and livelihood opportunities for refugees.
Aiming to nurturing the wellbeing of and growth of young children, The Early Childhood Development (ECD) project provides quality early learning and psychosocial support services reaching 60 right holders ensuring refugee and host-community children have a strong start in life.
Moreover, the TESFA project supports 50 right holders who receive, life skill and entrepreneurship training to ensure long term sustainability using structured coaching approach and financial support.
The Megnote project also, supports 500 households, offering livelihood opportunities, social support, and pathways to economic independence. Together, these projects maintain a commitment to inclusivity, serving 75% refugees and 25% host community members.
All three initiatives apply the graduation approach, a proven, multi-step model that helps households transition from extreme vulnerability to sustainable independence that allows vulnerable communities not only meet immediate needs but also build lasting resilience.
These three projects are implemented through the financial support from Act for Peace, the Hilton Foundation, and the Embassy of the Netherlands. Their contributions enable EOC-DICAC to create meaningful, long-term impact in the lives of refugee and host families across Addis Ababa.
