Improving access to quality healthcare services

Improving access to quality healthcare services is one of the key ways to improve the health conditions of IDPs. In most cases, IDPs settled in areas, where the healthcare infrastructure is weak and the health service provision is poor.

As part of the health investment, through the project “Integrated multi-sector assistance to conflict-affected IDPs in Debreberhan town”, EOTC-DICAC constructed a stabilization and feeding center at Ayer Tena Health Center. The stabilization and feeding center was constructed with a budget of 80,031.50 USD, with funds from EHF (Ethiopian Humanitarian Funds), through LWF (the Lutheran World Federation), and provides services for more than 25,000 IDP and host communities. Generally, the investment made in healthcare facilities and medical supplies enhances quality healthcare provision for IDPs.
