Bank of Oromia Supported 5 Million Birr to Seven Charitable Organizations in celebration of Easter
Speaking at the event, the Bank’s Chief Executive Director, Mr. Tefri Mekonen, emphasized the importance of supporting communities during the festive and Easter season. He noted that such initiatives help citizens become more productive and strengthen social solidarity.
Among the charity organizations, EOTC DICAC received a grant of 1 million birr. The Commission’s Commissioner, Mr. Yelkel Shiferaw, expressed his appreciation, stating that the support will not only strengthen charitable institutions but also have a meaningful impact on the lives of citizens.
Representatives of the charity organizations also pledged to further enhance their efforts and continue providing essential support to those in need.
The Bank of Oromia provided financial support to the following organizations:
• Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church Development and Inter Church Aid Commission – 1,000,000 Birr
• Abebech Gobena Charitable Organization – 1,000,000 Birr
• Kidney Patients Dialysis center– 1,000,000 Birr
• Addis Ababa City Feeding Center – 500,000 Birr
• Oda Boarding School – 500,000 Birr
• Tesfa Addis Children’s Cancer Center – 500,000 Birr
• Sebeta School for the Blind – 500,000 Birr
