EOC-DICAC Expands Immunization Efforts

Currently, EOC-DICAC is implementing vaccination projects across three regions covering 6 sub cities in B/Dar city, 29 woredas in Amhara, 5 woredas in Oromia, and 10 woredas in South Ethiopia regions DICAC focuses on reaching zero-dose (ZD) and under-vaccinated (UV) children with special attention to remote, underserved pastoralist and vulnerable populations.

Joint performance bi-annual review on Gavi-funded immunization project

The RISE project, which began implementation in 2025, targets the identification and vaccination of Zero Dose (ZD) and Under-Vaccinated (UV) children in underserved areas of South Ethiopia. These include South Omo (Nyangatom, Bena Tsemay, and Malle), Ari (South Ari, North Ari, and Woba Ari), Konso (Karat Zuria), Basketo (Basketo Zuria), Burji (Soyama Zuria), and Alle (Kolango Zuria) Zones.

FGM/CM Project, Experience Sharing Visit Highlights; Strong Community Engagement and Impact

A joint field visit was conducted from August 5–6, 2025, in the Debre Birhan area, specifically covering Cheki and Kotu areas. The visit was organized as part of the FGM/CM project, implemented through the collaboration of the Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church Development and Inter-Church Aid Commission (EOC-DICAC).
The field visit aims to share EOTC DICAC’s experience in implementing FGM/CM initiatives with other NCA funded partner organizations, including (EMRDA, EECMY-DASSC, and OWDA).
